Today’s Arctas activity was defined by companies making bigger strategic bets. M&A, high-profile talent, competitive wins, and SBIR-fueled growth all pushed organizations into focus.

M&A and talent movement set the early tone. Xpect Solutions generated significant attention after acquiring Amivero, adding an established national security growth engine, leadership, and capabilities for its next phase of federal technology growth. Defense Unicorns made another notable move, recruiting former Air Force CIO Lauren Knausenberger.

Federal health and civilian agency work quickly followed. SCI Group beat out 12 competitors to secure a $17M NIH NLM OCCS Software Development, Operations, and Cloud Support contract. RTI added a $22M CMS Medicare Shared Savings Program ACO Analysis and Operations Support award. HHS selected Alȳn for OIS Cybersecurity Threat Operations and Strategic Services, while MicroHealth secured a $12M HRSA Office of Pharmacy Affairs Information System contract.

Competition stayed active across civilian agencies. Magnus Management Group beat out 17 competitors for USDA Governance Services Division support. DTI added an IRS Middleware Operations, Maintenance, and Development task on CIO-SP3 SB. Skylight leveraged SBIR Phase III to secure a $25M Education Department Federal Tax Information Module Support contract, while ZipZap IT added Impact Aid Grant System IV&V Support Services.

Defense work brought another wave of momentum. STOPSO secured the Army CECOM Aberdeen Proving Ground recompete. An Ailani Hawaiian Federal and PingWind joint venture added Marine Corps Base Quantico IT services subcontract work. Arlo Solutions secured DSCA Cybersecurity Support Services, while C² landed a Space Training and Readiness Command Civilian Guardian Course contract.

Sherpa 6 closed out the activity with scale, securing a $349M Army Natick Soldier Research SBIR Phase III WATCHTOWER+AIM IDIQ.
