A major defense technology acquisition, another wave of SBIR-fueled awards, and experienced executives moving into new roles gave today’s Arctas activity plenty of momentum heading into the weekend.

AMERICAN SYSTEMS topped two competitors for a $65M DoD JIAMDO SETA award. Peraton leveraged SBIR Phase III to land a $109M Air Force Space Domain Awareness Cloud-Based Space Weather Analysis System contract, while OMNI used the same pathway to secure a $10M Air Force VIPER capability task.
Mission support and civilian modernization continued to build. The Quasars and JPI joint venture secured a Coast Guard C5I-PEO Requirements and Enterprise Architecture Services task. Bixal added a $10M GSA RISC Operations, Maintenance, and Modernization award. Magellan Federal picked up Navy MNCC ICA support, while Packaged Agile secured an Air Force Agile and Scrum Training contract. Summit Strategy earned a place on the 2026 Inc. 5000 list, while CSA achieved CMMI Level 3 appraisal and renewed its ISO certifications.
Market intelligence rounded out the day. HXG1 examined 130 federal procurements to explore how oral presentations, bidder participation, and pricing interact, offering growth and capture teams another perspective on the competitive dynamics shaping federal awards.
Acquisitions are reshaping the field, SBIR pathways continue delivering major awards, and experienced leaders are moving into position. FY27’s competitive landscape is getting more interesting by the day.
