Today’s Arctas activity put cyber operations, defense innovation, and AI-enabled capabilities in focus, with major awards and new technology offerings showing where companies are gaining ground.
National security and defense brought scale to the day. Leidos generated strong attention after securing a $160M U.S. Cyber Command award supporting full-spectrum cyber operations. A3, OCT, and ThinkTek were named to the $171M DCSA Advanced Integration and Modernization BPA, while LMI beat out 14 competitors to win an Army Enterprise Logistics and Installation contract. BMNT added an AFRICOM Innovation Ecosystem Training Support SBIR Phase III task, and Rise8 secured a Navy Model Line Methodology Process Improvement Workshop SBIR Phase III award.
Federal health and civilian agency work continued to build. A VivSoft-led joint venture added a $37M DHA Contracting and Acquisition Support Services task. A Simple VUE-led joint venture secured CDC Health Communication Services, while DSFederal added USDA Grants Management Reporting System Application Support work. Rich Potocek also moved to Serco, bringing experience supporting CMS and federal health missions.
AI, cybersecurity, and mission technology added another layer. SPA introduced the commercial release of ArcherEye™, advancing its integrated mission engineering capabilities. Defense Unicorns launched an end-to-end CMMC solution designed to help contractors accelerate certification. Procurement Sciences also drew attention after using AI and HigherGov data to identify 53 potential fraud leads in federal contracting, with Chief Growth Officer Matt Pinkston among the leaders advancing the effort.
Industry perspective rounded out the activity. Greystones Group COO John Hopkin shared his views on why small businesses could help lead the next wave of defense AI, drawing on the company’s work supporting Navy missions and the opportunities emerging for smaller, more agile contractors.
Major cyber awards, new mission technologies, and AI being put to work across both government and industry. That’s where the attention landed today.
